We often don’t realise the importance of mental health, especially women’s mental health during and after pregnancy, in raising families and transitioning back to work. Lara Nguyen’s Perinatal Mental Health Project (PMHP) is helping mothers (with a child in their first year of life) to reduce burnout and mental distress. PMHP is designing a free, user-friendly online tool to analyse and predict the risks of depression in these mothers. This holds dear to Lara’s heart because she has heard many concerns from Mothers and expecting women, and can empathise with their experiences.
